Description
In the 10th edition of Open House Porto - ten years of opening doors to architecture - we’re challenging all participants to open their own doors to their eyes as well, through an activity that proposes a series of exercises in observation, framing and photographic recording of architecture. Ask the OHP volunteers for the postcard where you’ll find the observation challenges and carry out the proposed exercises. We invite you to explore buildings and landscapes in a more attentive and conscious way, looking for framing, details and relationships between shapes, materials, scale, light and shadow. Use your mobile phone or camera to record what catches your eye: an unexpected window, an expertly designed staircase, the way the vegetation intersects with the building or the way the light transforms a façade throughout the day. Rather than looking for ‘the perfect photo’, we want each image to reveal a personal point of view - a careful look at the space and the moment.
