Description
Based in the emblematic building of the old Town Hall, MuMMa is a space dedicated to preserving and celebrating the collective identity of Matosinhos. Inaugurated in 2023, the museum brings together testimonies, objects and narratives that span the history of the municipality, from the fishing tradition to industrialisation and contemporary urban culture. Its museography invites interaction and dialogue between generations, crossing past and present. As part of Open House Porto 2025, MuMMa is opening its doors to visitors to showcase not only its exhibition content, but also the rehabilitated building itself, where historic architecture and contemporary intervention meet. An invitation to discover the living memory of a city in constant transformation.
