Description
The Detail Plan of Afurada (2001-2005), part of the Polis program, brought a series of transformations in this fishing area. The Centro Interpretativo do Património da Afurada [Heritage Interpretive Center] (2013), a record of the memory of that place, is the result of the reconstruction of a group of “aprestos” – wooden sheds to store fishing materials – and its adaptation to exhibition space. We suggest that your visit is complemented with the Lavadouro Público (2003) [Public Washhouse], temporary structure and a place of informal gathering.
